Our Mission
Our mission at Mid-States Recycling & Refining has always been to provide our customers with the best service through a completely transparent recycling option. Since 1982, we’ve offered an open-door policy to our customers wanting to witness their metal being recycled. For those unable to make it in to our facility, we always offer a sample for them to fact check our findings. Our business requires so much trust and these options provide our customers assurance and peace of mind.
your Crematory's Trusted Partner
A core responsibility of our business is serving crematories throughout the United States and Canada. We have earned the trust of crematories by providing the highest level of service, transparency and environmental compliance in the collection and recycling of implants and metallic by-products following cremation.
All Under One Roof
Few companies can offer their customers the same all-inclusive services under one roof. At Mid-States we receive and smelt all metals at our 19,000 square foot facility using induction-powered furnaces. Our assay lab performs the latest in X-ray fluorescence, fire and ICP assaying techniques to ensure accurate results.
We have the capability to provide complete service from collection to recycling and we do not subcontract any services to 3rd party vendors. Because we control every step of the process we can provide the highest compensation for your metals in the form of direct payment or a donation to the charity of your choice.
Complete transparency
We welcome our customers to visit our facility offering our exclusive Mid-States Open Door Policy. You can visit our recycling facility and watch the smelting and assaying of your metals in person. You can bring your scrap metal with you and we will process it from start to finish, while you watch!
All precious and non-precious metals recovered through the recycling process are marketed to metal casters and suppliers for an array of uses, ranging from fine bullion investment products to industrial fabrication. The metal we process is truly repurposed.
